
Live broadcast on August 3 News Bayern CMO (Chief Marketing Officer) Jung was interviewed not long ago to talk about the promotion topic of Bundesliga.
Jung said: “This is the case every year. Only we and Dortmund are on tour overseas. This is very regrettable.”
“18 of the 20 Premier League teams have played the pre-season tour. We can’t just sit there and envy the huge TV revenue of the Premier League. The Bundesliga team must do something to get as close as possible to the Premier League so as to get more. And now we have done too little.”
“I expect the Bundesliga teams to do more. Most fans around the world cannot come to Germany to watch the ball, so we must take the initiative to find them as much as possible. At least we can do it. I don’t understand why other teams don’t do it.”
“We have a big gap with the Premier League in marketing. Just like luxury goods and ordinary commercial match, the market demand for luxury goods will actually be much larger, which is the dilemma we are facing.”
